What to expect on your first session

Visiting a therapist for the first time may be anxiety provoking as you may not know what to expect. You will be greeted by your therapist and sit on chairs in a comfortable room where the therapist will ask about the reasons for coming to therapy.

The first session generally is about you speaking about your difficulties so that you and the therapist can work together to develop a plan that would be most helpful for you getting the most out of your therapy experience.

If you have any questions or concerns about therapy and seeing a psychologist, please don’t hesitate to call Andrew to briefly talk about your concerns and to see what would be most helpful moving forward.
